I ran my first ever ultra in Squamish at the Stormy 67 km in 2004 and my first ever 100-miler was the Stormy 100 in 2008. I resided in Squamish for three full years and I feel a special connection to those trails. I had always dreamed of designing a truly spectacular course that would encompass all that Squamish has to offer. Having worked with such reputable organizations as The MOMAR, 5 Peaks, Run The North Shore, and Red Bull Divide & Conquer, I was thrilled to finally bring a long-standing personal vision of a Squamish 50-miler to life in 2012. I have been thrilled with the success we’ve achieved since then and am continually committed to improving the overall race experience for all involved, whether they are volunteers, runners, crew, or spectators.

I’ve been a regular trail runner since the 80’s, an avid adventure racer since 1999, and the owner and Race Director of Frontier Adventure Sports & Training (FAST) since 2002. I’ve been lucky enough to have raced across Canada and through much of the world, in sports ranging from trail running, mountain biking, snowshoeing and adventure racing, in sprint and expedition events like the Death Race, the Ultimate XC, and the Southern Traverse. It’s been a labour of love to showcase the incredible terrain around Squamish with this epic 50-mile trail run.
